Alisha Katoch becomes the first Indian to participate in the World Accuracy Paragliding Competition

Alisha Katoch from Kangra district made history by participating in the 13th FAI World Accuracy Paragliding Championship held in Turkey from 9 to 19 October 2025. This competition is a prestigious Category-I event, in which 140 top pilots from 38 countries participated. Alisha became the first Indian Accuracy Paragliding Pilot to represent the country in this championship.

Alisha has won 23 medals and eight trophies in various national and international competitions so far.
