Industrialists will now be able to adopt cow sanctuaries

Industrialists, NGOs, and voluntary organisations, will be able to adopt Gosadans (cattle shelters). will also be permitted to do so.

Approval would be granted to any organisation or industrial groups wanting to adopt government-run cattle sanctuaries.

This initiative will ensure the protection of stray cattle.

During the 2025-26 financial year, a sum of ₹14.68 crore was disbursed under the Gopal Scheme to control the number of stray cattle in the state.
